Classic Outlook

The Historical Outlook began life in 1909 as “The History Teacher’s Magazine”, published in Philadelphia by Dr. Albert McKinley. The articles were mostly written by academics who wanted to provide content knowledge to schoolteachers. The magazine changed names in 1915 to “The Historical Outlook”, and continued publication until 1932 when the name changed again to “The Social Studies” a publication that continues to this day. Below are links and embedded complete scans of some of the original issues of both The History Teacher’s Magazine and The Historical Outlook.
